Gunpla Cafè: novembre 2011

Hi everyone and welcome to my first review of a Gunpla kit, today I'll be looking at the Mg 1/100 Gundam MkII in Titans colors scheme.

First off I want to say that I repainted totally the kit, so the colours You'll see in the pictures are the colours that I used (by the way I made a list of the color in my W.i.p. topics).

Ciao a tutti quanti e benvenuti alla mia prima recensione di un kit Gunpla, oggi prenderò in analisi il Mg 1/100 Gundam MkII nella variazione di colori Titans.

Prima di tutto voglio far notare che ho totalmente ricolorato il modello, quindi i colori che vedrete nelle foto sono quelli che ho utilizzato io (c'è comunque una lista di tali colori nei miei topic precedenti).

Let's start by reviewing the single parts of the kit:

Iniziamo prendendo in considerazione le parti singole che compongono il kit:

TORSO:

The torso is really squared and simple, it's an upgraded version of the RX-78 Gundam's torso, in its simple design is very attractive and proportionate, the colour separation (also on the unpainted kit) is very nice and functional.
In front of the torso there are 2 cameras, 1 on both side; 2 yellow vens and the cockpit, the torso is on a ball joint so is possible to move it forward and back a little.

La forma del torso è squadrata e semplice e può essere considerata un upgrade del torso del Gundam Rx-78, con il suo design semplice lo considero bello e con ottime proporzioni, la separazione dei colori (anche sul modello non dipinto) è ottima e funzionale.
Sulla parte frontale del torso si possono notare 2 camere, 1 su ogni lato; 2 bocchettoni di raffreddamento gialli e il cockpit, il torso è montato su una giuntura sferica è quindi possibile muoverlo in avanti e all'indietro.

BACKPACK:

Also the the backpack is very simple and it is a benefit for me because it reminds me that is a military unit; you can see the four red thrusters (on the unpainted kit the inside of the thrusters is neutral grey), 2 on each side, the cables, that are actually REAL cables that you need to cut and apply on the plastic, and the supports for the beam sabers that are on the sides of the backpack; the handles are nice fixed in front of the supports even thoughcan be easeily removed, there are in totally 2 handles on the model.

Anche il backpack ha un design molto semplice e lo considero un beneficio poichè da al modello un aspetto da mezzo militare; è possibile notare i quattro propulsori rossi (sul kit con i colori di serie sono grigi), disposti a coppie su ogni lato, i cavi, che sono REALI e necessitano di essere tagliati e applicati sul modello, e i supporti per le beam sabers che sono disposti sui lati del backpack; le impugnature sono fissate in maniera eccellente sul fronte dei supporti sebbene possano essere facilmente rimosse, ci sono in totale 2 impugnature presenti sul modello.

CHEST:

The chest is composed by 2 parts of the frontal armor that can be moved separately, 1 little part of the side armor that is movable, and one solid piece on the back that can't be moved.
On the side armor is possible to put the Rifle or rifle's or bazooka's magazines.

La parte bassa del torace è composta frontalmente da 2 parti di armature che possono essere posizionate indipendentemente, 1 piccola armatura laterale per ogni lato che può essere posizionata, e una parte solita fissata sul retro che non può essere mossa.
Sulle armature laterali è possibile fissare il fucile o i caricatori appartenenti a quest'ultimo o al bazooka.

On the back of the chest there is a peg on which you can fix the bazooka, the peg is really secure and you can move the model as you want without the risk that the bazooka will fall off.

Sulla parte posteriore c'è una parte semovibile sulla quale è possibile fissare il bazooka, questa parte è molto solida ed è possibile posizionare il modello in qualsiasi posizione senza il rischio che l'arma esca dalla sua sede.

ARMS:

The arms are a real nice point of this model, they are very posable, and detailed and solid; the arm articulations are resistant and elastic at the same time and permits a very large range of movement; the wrist articulation is also amazing and permits a bend of 180°, the hands are the standard MG hand with the thumb, the 3 unite fingers and the separate finger; the shoulders are pretty nice and the yellow part on the top is a separate part, so the details are a lot on this arms.

Le braccia sono un punto forte del modello, sono completamente posabili, dettagliate eppure solide; le articolazioni sono resistenti ed elastiche allo stesso tempo e permettono una grande posabilità: le articolazioni dei polsi sono incredibili e permettono di formare un angolo di 180°, le mani sono quelle standard in dotazione alla linea MG composte da un pollice, un indice entrambi semovibili indipendentemente e le restanti dita unite, anche le spalle sono eccellenti e la parte gialla presente su di esse è una componente separata, sono quindi presenti dettagli in quantità.

HEAD:

The head is the classic gundam head, with the yellow v fins, the red gem on the front and chin, the green evil eyes, the frontal camera and the lateral littles vens.
There is also a kind a vulcan pod that could be applied on the head, which includes an extra camera, a little antenna and a little vulcan sistem on the left, very nice and detailed.

La testa è la più classica delle teste Gundam, con le corna gialle, la gemma frontale ed il mento rossi, gli aggressivi occhi verdi, la camera frontale e i piccoli bocchettoni di raffreddamento laterali.
C'è inoltre un sistema di fuoco separato che può essere applicato alla testa, che include una camera extra, una piccola antenna e un piccolo sistema vulcan sulla sinistra, stupendo e molto dettagliato.

LEGS:

There is just one word to describe the legs of this model: AMAZING.
The mobility and the posability of this legs is impressive, and the engineering too, when you bend the leg it opens in 3 different points, I've never see a similar level of detail.
With this legs you can dispose the model in each pose that you can imagine.
The legs have 2 yellow vens, 1 on each side, and are present in the unpainted model some chrome pistons.

C'è solamente un termine che possa descrivere le gambe di questo modello: INCREDIBILI.
La mobilità e la posabilità sono impressionanti come l'ingenieristica, quando le gambe vengono piegate si aprono in 3 diversi punti, non ho mai visto un simile livello di dettaglio.
Con queste gambe potrete disporre il modello in ogni posa che possiate immaginare.
E' possibile notare sulle gambe 2 bocchettoni gialli, 1 su ogni lato, e i pistoni cromati, presenti di serie sul modello.

ACCESSORIES, STICKER, ECC:

The model cames with a nice selection of weapons: a shield, a rifle with an extra magazines and a bazooka with an extra magazine too, 2 long sabers for the sword, a set of clear sticker and a little paper of metallic stickers for the eyes and the cameras, and some nice decals (it's even possible choose if the Gundam unit is the 01/02/03).

E' presente col modello una vasta selezione di armi: uno scudo, un fucile e un bazooka con caricatori aggiuntivi, 2 beam sabers lunghe, un set di adesivi trasparenti e un foglio di adesivi metallizzati per occhi e camere, e alcune splendide decal (è persino possible decidere quale numero applicare alla propria unità tra 01/02/03).

FINAL VERDICT:
This is a clear example of top range model in Bandai selection, it's very nice to see, very posable and with a nice range of weapons and accessories to recreate any battle situation, I reccomend the purchase of this model, it's a must have for any Gunpla collection for every point of view: the engineering, the aesthetics, the posability...subtantially a masterpiece.

Questo modello è un chiaro esempio di top gamma nella selezione di modelli Bandai, esteticamente stupendo, molto posabile e presenta un'ampia gamma di armi ed accessori che permettono di ricreare qualsiasi situazione di battaglia, raccomando l'acquisto, questo modello dev'essere presente nella vostra collezione poichè eccelle sotto ogni aspetto: ingenieria, estecica e posabilità...sostanzialmente un capolavoro.

MY CUSTOM WORK: I totally repainted this model using an airbrush and detailed it with a normal brush, I used Tamiya, Mr.Color and Alclad color and avoid used the clear stickers, applied a light pre shading on the model, used the decals and flat clear coat.
The picture were taken with a Nikon D5000 by my girlfriend, if you have some questions or advice, notice me with a comment, enjoy the review!

Ho totalmente ricolorato questo modello utilizzando un aerografo per il grosso della colorazione ed un pennello per i dettagli, i colori utilizzati sono stati della Tamiya, della Mr.Color e della Alclad, ho inoltre evitato di usare adesivi normali e trasparenti, applicato un leggero pre shading, utilizzato decal e protettivo opaco.
